December 1~ the first day of the rest of my life

So, what have I done so far today....it's the first of December, and I was supposed to have a cookie jar (with cookies) in the mail by Nov. 25th for an internet gift exchange. I detest baking cookies and kept putting it off, and then, when I finally got them done, they were all so hard and crunchy, I was afraid I'd injure the recipient's teeth, so I now have about 20 dozen cookie and biscottis here. UGH! What a waste of time!
The first thing to do every morning (and today it started at 4:40 am), is to take Max, my Yorkie, out to go do his thing. Once that's accomplished (and oh boy, was it ever COLD here this morning!), it's immediately time to feed him, and then time to feed the cats and the birds, and clean the cages/litter box, etc. Nothing going on with any of the animals thank the good Lord! Then it was time for MY coffee and figure out what I needed to go to the store for before I could get this package finally out in the mail. Honestly, this is the LAST time I'm getting hooked into one of these exchanges. I always put them off and then I stress out over having not gotten them out on time, and will they arrive before the day for the grand opening, or will I be the only lame participant? This time, I just went to the Fed Ex at Kinko's ...no muss no fuss, and probably cheaper to send than USPS...and it will definitely get there in time. Or so they say.
So, I got the cookie jar wrapped and some other little things wrapped and stuffed in the box, labels made and my list made, and off I went to Kinko's. Then it was over to Von's for a few things and home. On my way home today, I decided it would be Bentley and Jaguar day...but since I wasn't driving that far, I stretched it out to include Rolls Royces too....I counted 4 Jaguars (not including mine), 2 Bentley's (both GT's) and one Rolls....not very good for an outing, but I didn't go down El Paseo, so I'll have to keep my tally until later when we go to dinner and maybe I'll have more. This is what I do while I'm driving to keep myself awake.
Called my mom to tell her about the coupon I emailed her for Macy's and waited for Dan to get home. Pretty exciting day for the first of December, LOL.
I wanted to go to the art walk this evening with Melanee, but that was before Dan was going to be home today, so I invited her to meet us at the restaurant when she was finished there.
OH...I also put all the cd's in their catalog order so that when I can put them back into the cd player I won't have to deal with sorting thru 300 cd's, so they're all ready to go. And I attempted to hook up the dvd player but for some reason, the picture isn't appearing.....it's always something!
